July 2024. Dr. Kamal Sarabandi, one of EMAG Technologies’ founders and principals was awarded the 2024 IEEE Electromagnetics Award in a ceremony held during the 2024 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Symposium (APS) in Florence, Italy. Dr. Sarabandi was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the theory and application of electromagnetics, including “contributions to electromagnetic sensing technology and metamaterials for antenna miniaturization”.
Dr. Sarabandi, who is the director of Radiation Laboratory at the University of Michigan, an IEEE life fellow and a member of National Academy of Engineering (NAE), was also honored earlier this summer as a “Legend of Electromagnetics”. The newly established Legends of Electromagnetics program recognizes outstanding members of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society for their impact on the field.
